They sleep quietly...

This week's photo shoot with friends was an expedition to Beechwood Cemetery. This cemetery is both a civilian cemetery and a military cemetery and we wandered in both areas. It is deep winter here and the snow lies mostly undisturbed.

A lone wooden cross amidst a sea of military granite.

I always find the juxtaposition of a killing machine and lines of graves a bit odd and unsettling.

Yes, to me the subject matter was definitely better in bw.  Glad you like them.

Normally I am not very happy with my cemetery images but these work better than what I usually get.
