The Urban Jungle

Most downtown cores in North America abound in steel and glass. The ones in my fair city cannot lay claim to any wondrous architectural designs - a result of penny pinching and lack of imagination. However even these can gain some beauty in the right light as I found yesterday on my walk to meet a friend in a pub in the Glebe.

The gentleman is actually walking with himself.

There can be some alleviation for the eye from the jungle...

Respite in the pub

My way home in the evening took me across the new footbridge over the canal.
