Charles Rennie Mackintosh

While in Glasgow we were able to go to a house/museum designed by famed Glasgow architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Esteemed by supporters of the Vienna Secessionist movement his designs are spare, elegant and exquisite.

Where you able to go to Glasgow school of Art before it burned down ? If you did you did any capture images of the building?

Before it burned down for the second time?  No idea what that are doing about that!

No, we were there just as they were in the  final stages of reconstruction and about to reopen the building.

I understand that it just an open site. No building work on the site at the moment and no work for the foreseeable future.

So sad...and a lot of it due to mismanagement and cutting corners.

I came back...because every time I open Pb your photo #1 pops up. It is so striking of a photo Abigail. It is one of those photos that everything comes together so well. Excellent, excellent capture. #1 is definitely one I would print and frame.

Well Photoblog seems to be doing weird things the days and Ram seems to have disappeared.  However in this case, this to my benefit 😃. Thanks, Camellia, I have just got a printer, my old one died a couple of years ago, so maybe I will try this one.
