Road to Kingston

The other day I had to drive down to Kingston to pick up my daughter coming in from Toronto. When I got to the station I found the train was late and one of the reasons for that delay came roaring through. The passenger train had had to pull off on a siding to allow the longest freight train that I have seen in years pass it as freight has a priority on these tracks. The train had to be well over 100 cars.

We stopped at the Perth Road United Church nestling in the trees...

Next to the church was the prettiest playground I have seen in years but it had no children as it is closed due to Covid 19.

Later on our evening walk the sun hit a wall of trees...

Such a sense of "purity" with the simple white church and the young summer green!
