Canal Walk

It was cool but quite lovely yesterday, a nice change from the day before when it snowed. Looks very grey today so I am glad I made the effort to get out. As an aside, the new pandemic buzzword here is 'languishing'. We all seem to be in a state of low motivation, not really depression but not much energy to get out and do.

As I started my walk I came across the first vestiges of spring activity in the Market as musicians were performing for a very small audience, harbinger of the summer crowds.

Path along the canal

They will probably fill the canal sometime in the next couple of weeks.

Rivets on the Pretoria Bridge

I cannot fathom that a child would willingly leave his/her balloons behind in the bushes!

Corktown pedestrian bridge across the canal, looking across to the new buildings at Ottawa U.

Strange to see it that quiet overthere. Here walking has become hugely popular .

Today was warmer and brighter.  Pedestrians had to fight the bicycles for path space.  I guess it depends on the day...and the unwillingness of folks to go out in the cold🤪

Thanks, Lise.  Interesting that there was not a huge population out yesterday.
