Almonte Waters

We have had an extremely dry spring this year and when we went through Almonte a couple of weeks ago there was only a thin stream of water coming down over the rocks. So this week I stopped with my little camera to catch that event as it is quite rare only to find that the waters have been helped immensely by a couple of small rains in the last ten days. The flow is still low but much healthier now.

Beneath our lookout point (it is one of those unsettling open grid landings, perfectly safe but disconcerting to those of us with balance problems) there is a small pub patio with three faded umbrellas. Perfect spot on top of the water...
