Getting up in the morning and passing over a bridge- on my way to start shading and color on the “amulet”

In this shot you can see my bungalow on the river bank

Today we worked on the shading and color

now, for those who haven't had large ink work done before, know that after the work is done the skin is VERY sensitive, red and puffy. It feels like a bad burn for a few days.
Not as painful with bamboo ink (though it does still burn today).

If getting large work inked by a gun, one needs to wait between 1 and 3 weeks to go back in between sessions to let the skin recover some, and even then the pain is greater than before…
Going in the next day made me nervous as hell.

Yeah.
F*ckin' ouch!

A few beers really helped

I typically bleed a lot for tattoos… not at all here…

… and the skin isn't puffy at all. Awesome!

Today was 6 and a half hours

“Really?!?” Yeah, Bamboo also go's a touch slower that gun work.
