Arches for the ages

Evening photo of McDonalds next to old Chinese stone bridge with reflection in small lake.

Double arches, old and new, nestled among karst hills. Yongshuo, Guangxi Province, China.

Haha, I like how the arches reflect the shapes of the mountains around Yangshuo and Guilin county!
I lived in Guilin for 3 months and absolutely adored trips down to Yangshuo. Amazing bicycle rides.
Not particularly embarrassed to admit that I ducked beneath the Golden Arches in Guilin a few times.
The flecks of meat floating around the bowls of 8 Yuan noodles at the restaurants opposite my
university did little to satsify my protein cravings. Amazing landscapes... I have a blog post about
this region, so please check it out :)

Ben, it is a lovely area, isn't it? Yep, McDs was my go-to place for Western style food while there. Thanks for the heads up about your blog.

Oh wow! What a place to be having a cheap double cheeseburger!
Must be a paradise for backpackers :)

Hi, Ram. Yes, it's a very popular area for back packers. Many hostels in the area and bike and hiking trails for the adventurous. The double cheeseburgers were great! The golden arches were a nice contrast to the arches in the bridge. Thanks for the comment.
