“In today’s rush we all think too much, see too much, want too much, and forget about the joy of just Being.” Eckhart Tolle
This was extremely obvious as I watched frantic and distracted travelers maneuver their way through the airport. Even as they waited for their flights they were glued to their cell phones or tablets rather oblivious to their surroundings.
I got very little sleep on the red-eye flight into Madrid, which fortunately landed early. I flew through customs (the benefit of not having a checked bag), and found and boarded the free shuttle to terminal 4 in less than 15 minutes. Had time for a coffee con leche and took a moment for ‘just Being’ - to enjoy the relief and solitude with gratitude.
I do not anticipate this ‘rush‘ on the Camino. This is one of the reasons I’m here.
As I write this post, I am sitting on a very nice bus waiting for my 4+ hour trip to Leon where I will meet up with Shad and Doe, rest for a day and start my Camino journey. Maybe I’ll get a little nap on the way.
Let the journey begin.
