Do you Print?

The camera club that I recently joined told me about this printer a week or so ago. Apparently there are over two dozen members using this printer and they love it. I could not resist the price and the great recommend. This printer arrived today. Although it is a bit of a distraction I'm looking forward to printing a few of my favorite black and white images.

I worked for Hewlett Packard for over 20 years and I felt a little guilty buying a Canon product. I'm sure I will get over it though. Epson and Canon have better printers for printing professional photographs.

It is so much larger and heavier than I expected. I had to have my husband help me get it out of the box and onto my desk.

It is a great deal right now!

Until the end of April this printer is $399.00 and has a $250 rebate (so you're paying $149.00 for it after rebate. Then B&H throws in a 50-sheet package of 13x19 paper worth $47.00, so your effective price is $102.00. Here is the link if you are interested in checking it out. Do you print your photographs? What printer do you use or recommend? Do you have any experience with this printer?

This is the printer that I want ... I am thinking a bit over a year before I get it so for now I look and drool over it when I see it on sale. For now I do print well I have images printed is more correct. For me it makes an image a real photo. I try to print at least 6 8x10 images and a few smaller prints a year .

For the few times that I print throughout the year I find it cheaper to have them done professionally than me messing with it. This whole package does sound very tempting as  a purchase though. I am looking forward to your results and comments for this printer.

Thanks Camillia,
You are probably right. I know that ink and paper are the expensive components here. I'll keep you posted. I hope I don't have buyers remorse. fearful

i am a Canon girl.. this interests me, but for as cheap as it is in the end, i just would spend too much on ink.. and i really don't print.. hmm.. perhaps if i sold my prints as greeting cards or something i could justify it..
i am interested in how you like it when you get to printing..

I do not print myself. Find it to expensive if you want a few prints. I did long time ago with an epson. Now I am a bit spoiled here to let them print. Can go from cheap prints in a drugstore to real proffesional prints in a photoshop. Most of the time I use Foto.com, they are good quality for a good price. But know many who print themselves, most of them on a Canon.
