Week 7/52: Intentional Color Palette

by Heidi Egerman February. 18, 2020 224 views

These two complementary colors, appearing opposite each other on the color wheel, happen to be my two favorite colors. I definitely enjoyed working with this still life. And the strawberries weren’t bad either.

I am learning to appreciate the skill and patience of a food photographer. Getting this week’s image was time-consuming and rather challenging, but very rewarding.

My original goal this week was to produce an image that met the extra credit criteria – Flat Lay Photography. Although I managed to get a few good images, by the end of the week, I decided to submit the image above because I felt it had the most impact and the best composition. Below are a few others that didn’t make the final cut, but reflect the fruits of my labor, quite literally.

As much as I truly love monochrome, color was king this week.

Stay tuned for next week's challenge: Pairs
