When I visited a garden show last spring, I was fascinated by the beauty of one flower, I've never noticed before. When I asked the seller for it's name, she told me : Akelei. (English: columbine or aquilegia).
I didn't bought one that day, because the balconies of the house I'm living in, got renovated, so I had no chance to plant anything on it for some month.
This year I bought some seeds and now they are growing (very very slowly) in a propagator on a window sill. I hoped (or dreamed) , I could already see some blossoms this year, but recently I read in the web, they need one year growing, before they form flowers...Hard to know for an impatient person like me. :)
Last weekend there was again a garden show nearby, where I searched for some Akelei. There was only one seller who had some - still very small, but they already had some blossoms. So I bought 2 blue (violet) ones and one in pink and planted them the same day in a flower tub on my balcony. And - of course, I made some photos.
Hopefully my own culture of plants will survive and grow, so that I have next year lots of this blooming beauties on my balcony. :)
