In children's imagination

Summer

Summer

Sunday the meteorological autumn starts in the northern hemisphere. I made several photos in the past summer month, but the above is my personal "Summer 2019-favourite". It's far from perfect, but it speaks loudest to me.

I love the composition in this shot. The sense of space is wonderfully communicated. Well done.

It's such a beautiful photo that I can only find in some magazine or decent photo book.
So people in the northern think that the autumn starts from 1st of Sept.? In northern-east part of Asia - China and Korea - we used to use lunar calendar. Lunar calendar is perfect for fishing but almost of no use for agriculture. Old people divided 365 days into 24 sections and named starting date of each section(solar term), so they used both lunar calendar and solar calendar as well. Anyhow according to solar term, autumn begins from August 8th but they say the summer fades away at August 23rd...very confusing. Half a month can only be explained as an Indian summer... Just like Europe it still is summer even in the middle of September now. I guess it could be the results of global warming...It's still warm as summer now. It will be October tomorrow. smile

Thank you Ho! I really like this photo, it has, what I call, soul. But I was a little angry with myself, that I decided to put my 50mm lens on the cam that day.. I don't use it very often and thought it's time again. But for this scene I wish I had used a zoom lens. The field in the background needs more sharpness. It's ok for a small seize, but for a poster print it's too poor. I couldn't get closer to the scene, because I was member of a group who was listening to a scientific lecture. It would have been very impolite to leave the group for making a photo...  Hehe, now I wish I did so...
Oh and I'm sure the reason for the weather changes worldwide are the climatic changes, and I'm really worried about it. We have many forests in this region and they have suffered a lot from the drought we had the last 2 years. Many trees had to be felled. Very sad fact.

That's what I thought, when I saw her. Unfortunately I had the wrong lens on my cam... The quality is not good enough for a large poster. Thank you, Björn!

Thanks Peter. I love the motive - but the quality could be better. Wrong lens and too far away... But I couldn't get closer, because I was part of a group who listened to a lecture. I didn't want to be impolite and just go away....
