Hide and seek

Actors : Puffy the neighbor cat (4 years old) and his friend Gin (I don't know his real name and I don't know his age, but he is obviously much younger than Puffy.) Pls. read the captions.

" I'm so booored..."

" I'm so booored..."

"Hmm maybe I can animate Puffy to a little hide and seek? Hehehe, he will never find me..."

"Hmm maybe I can animate Puffy to a little hide and seek? Hehehe, he will never find me..."

Voice off :"Puffy search me!!! " - Puffy : "Oh no, this youngster can be really a pain in the neck..."

Voice off :"Puffy search me!!! " - Puffy : "Oh no, this youngster can be really a pain in the neck..."

Puffy: Looks like a cat tail, smells like a cat tail " Found you !!! "

Puffy: Looks like a cat tail, smells like a cat tail " Found you !!! "

Gin : " How the hell do you always find me that quickly ?? "

Gin : " How the hell do you always find me that quickly ?? "

" What do you think - he still has a lot to learn, right ?"

(I promise, the next upload will not be about cats, but this story was just too funny, I had to show it.) 😺

We are cat lovers and owners. #6 looks just like one we used to have "Georgi". Such nice shots Heike.

Good series, especially #5 and #6. You caught the moment very well.
I know it is not easy to shoot them in each interesting moment (I have 5 cats).
Love this story, so fun.cat

I am not sure why you are in home office. For preventing COVID-19?
I guess you are a blessing in disguise?
Stay healthy, Heike!

Thanks Tsao. Yes is for preventing Covid 19 - and due to economic losses of our company during the crisis, the employees working hours is reduced to 50%, what means 20hours per week instead of 40 hours per week. This would be quite nice, but also the salary is reduced to 50%, Means the company pays half of the salary and the german state pays additional 60% of your loss. Let say your net loss is around 500 Euro, than you get 300euros from the state, additional to the company salary. It's called "Kurzarbeit". Thousands of people here in Germany are meanwhile in "Kurzarbeit". This arrangement (that you get money from the state) is limited to12 month... But at least, nobody knows whether the company will survive in the end... But I think at the moment I'm in a better position than people in other countries, that don't have such social arrangements. And this social arrangements explains also, why Germany is one of the countries with the highest tax rates internationally... However, our Boss said, as long as we are in "Kurzarbeit" we can also make home-office. So I save additional the money for the gasoline, I usually need for the way to and from the office. I try to make the best of the situation and honestly, I enjoy the extra free time that I have at the moment...smile But I also know, I'm one of the luckier peoples at the moment. I know several people who already lost their work, because their companies are already bankrupt...

I am glad you are fine. Thank you for sharing your salary in detail. I'm not very good at math, but you seem to get 80% (50% and half 60%) of the money at least in these 3 months. In my memory, the social arrangements in Germany (and the European Union) are very good and humane. grinning They are being reflected again, including what you said about Kurzarbeit.
I stay in the office (two people in a room) most of the time at work. Except for wearing a mask during meetings with other colleagues, my work hasn't changed much before and after the outbreak of Covid 19.
I think the world is paying the price for long-term dependence on China.cry Now, we have realized the importance of reducing our dependence on Chinese manufacturing. Taiwan is carefully cutting its economic ties with China. I don’t know if Germany will do the same.

Thanks Antonio! The little ginger cat really keeps Puffy busy. Yes I'm too seldom here, but at the moment my interests are somewhat different. But that might change again in a while. smile

Heike, your photos are always excellent but it's your imagination and story telling that make these posts so much fun. Thanks for sharing Puffy and friend with us!
