2019/The imperial baths of Trier - Germany

Impressive ruins still visible today, this UNESCO World Heritage Site was never put into service. Built around the year 300 AD as a monumental complex, it was dedicated to Emperor Constance Chlore and his son Constantine, who had made Trier their residence. Constantine never completed the work and eventually transformed the building into a military barracks. Unfortunately, I was in Trier during a site closure day.
