After the City Hall, Claudia and I went to Deoksugung Palace (덕수궁) and hoped to see the Changing of the Guards ceremony but again, we missed it. We toured the grounds on our own in a very disorganized manner. Kung ano lang maisipang pasukin, that's what we did.
Tip #6: Get the Royal Palace Integrated Pass if you are planning to visit all of the Palaces. It will save you time in lining up for tickets in every palace you visit. We bought ours from Deoksugung Palace but you can also get it from any of the other palaces.
Seoul Metropolitan Library
After exiting Deoksugung Palace, Claudia and I decided to go home, rest, and wait for Angel and Xyza to arrive. On our way home, nadaanan namin ang Seoul Metropolitan Library. It is Seoul City's main public library and was the former Seoul City Hall. It is open to everybody, a citizen or not.
Inside the white tents on one side of the building are sellers of food and other stuff. Pagkatapos namin sa loob ng library, bumili kami ng isang kilo ng apple from one of the sellers there. He told us that his wife is a Filipina.
