Our morning at the floating markets. Here, more so than anywhere you can see the locals' desperation to make money and have a trade. They are all vying against eachother to sell to the tourists or locals, as it puts food on the table for their families. You can't help but feel your privilege and guilt of being lucky enough to being born into a western country, with the chances we have to explore the world, and not be in their position. More of our morning - we visited a local place that made rice paper, and rice noodles - made from rice and tapioca powder, the left in the sun to dry through - they cut into noodles. A local kindergarten we walked past - a visitor gave them pens and the children's desperation and excitement was palpable. Top middle: coconut cake; bottom middle: bake banana cake - banana and coconut milk; middle right; a local boy who was humorously poking the fish in the eye with his dinosaur!
