On the train from Saigon to Nha Trang: 7 hours, soft berth, air conditioned cabin. Great fun, actually had 2 naps! Stunning countryside views: passing through local villages, rice paddies, mountains, small cities, dilapidated towns and nothing but green.Typical Vietnamese traffic - you walk and they go around you. It's common to have roadside barbers - apparently they will also clean your ears for free!Typical street food: this was fishball and pork yellow noodle soup. Delicious, and you sit on plastic chairs that are clearly made for children! haha. Some of the foods we've eaten: Banh Mi (typical pork Vietnamese sandwich), chicken noodle soup, broken rice and pork, more noodle soup, jack fruit (disgusting and stinky), fried noodles and chicken, and our pork and rice 'lunch box' meal on the train to Nha Trang.
