Green veins - Analog Snaps

Last autumn was really great. It was warm and sunny very long, till the beginning of November. And it's good to use a good weather while it lasts, so a little trip out of city was a right thing to do ;)

This photo below was taken on a beautiful day while on a trip to place called Petrified City (probably it's not the best translation from Polish). It is an area with lots of stone formations with different sizes and shapes, with tourist routes between them.

I will share a longer story about it, but today I just want to show you this one photo.

Sun was shining really bright and I noticed this oak leaves hanging really low, already turning yellow and brown. Light going through them revealed this little veins inside, tree juices slowly stopping to flow through them, as the tree was already preparing to shed its leaves before winter.

I took my camera and focused to capture this bright network inside, but as it usually happens, wind started to blow gently, altough strong enough to move the leaf in and out of focus... I didn't want to miss this photo, so I waited patiently for 5 minutes, until it stopped for a brief moment. Click! And the photo was taken. I was really happy with it, when I got the film developed and scanned some time later, in the middle of the winter.

And what do you think about it? :)

Made with: Minolta Dynax 4 and Minolta AF 28-80mm f3.5-5.6 lens on a Kodak ColorPlus 200 film.

I really like the light shining through the torn part of the leaf, and of course the beautiful details of the veins. Well done!

Thank you, Bethany! I tried to capture that shine-through, but didn't know if I got it until I had film scanned. I'm glad it is there :)

Thank you, Heike! When I started shooting film I soon found out that patience and precision is much needed, otherwise we end up with with out-of-focus photos or with wrong exposure... and it's just a waste of good film. Thankfully I don't lack patience, so with some practice I get most photos at least "correct" smile
