Mormon Row, Teton National Park

by Becky Brannon January. 10, 2017 1194 views

I truly looked forward to getting to this iconic spot at the Teton National Park.  Mormon Row is an old abandoned, pioneer settlement.

On a different note, it was just announced that Dylan Roof will be sentenced to death.  Dylan Roof was a young man who went inside an historic African-American church in downtown Charleston and shot 9 people.  I was here in Wyoming when it happened.   The news shocked me to my core that someone could be so full of hate to go into a church and shoot these good people.  What truly amazed me was the families forgiving him, what amazing people to have that ability.  Basically I do not believe in the death penalty........   but in this case I just have to agree.......

I hope those people are at peace.....

Teton National Park is among our favorite places to visit. The first shot has a great angle, clarity and color!
(The world is full of haters these days - only love and forgiveness are left for the rest of us!)

Love all of the wonderful shots! We saw Tetons but not here. I agree with you what a horrible non feeling thing to do. He's crazy even though he thinks he is not. No one in their right mind could pray with these people in church then murder them. Cold, un-feeling. Death penalty to me is to warn others not to do those things.

Thanks for the comment!

It is scary that he has no remorse....he thought he would straight a race war, but everyone in Charleston came together. It just shakes me to the core!

Thank you Antonio,
I really don't believe in it. This guy has confessed and has absolutely no remorse, But I truly do not believe the death penalty solves anything.

Evil exists, unfortunately, everywhere. Not easy to adress problems like these.

Wow, you went to Mormon Row! Grand Tetons is top of my list for my next trip to the USA.
Did you take these recently? If so, I know they're not typical winter landscapes, but our new
weekly theme could accommodate them.

Thanks!! but they were not in winter, I am going backwards on pictures I took when I was not posting! But this certainly is an iconic spot for the American West.
