Visited a beach where there is a turtle beach preserve co-operative where they care for turtle nests. There are 8 of the 9 species of turtles that lay eggs on the beach, quite amazing. 1 out of every 100 turtles released return to lay eggs on the same beach. The first 2 photos are of the first turtle released on the last full moon. The last photo is of the turtle I was able to release, she will return for sure, in the few minutes I had with her I told her a few things to survive and taught her the basics of Turtle-Style Kung-Fu

You are so lucky Roger, I have seen leatherback turtles come up on a beach in South Africa to lay their eggs, but it is a dream of mine to be able to see the babies hatching... I am sure the one you chatted with will do well and thrive!
