Sunset over the Great Lakes

by Sylvia Warren October. 30, 2019 250 views

On a recent trip to Michigan were lucky to experience a couple of spectacular sunsets. We were book ended with them - on our first night on Lake Superior and our last night on Lake Michigan.

We were coming to our final destination - where M77 ends in Grand Marais, in Michigan's upper peninsula - as the sun was beginning to set.

Our last night was two hours south in Petoskey on Lake Michigan. Petoskey is know for its beautiful sunsets. In preparation, I had put the battery for my DSLR on charge but when we got the park I realized I had forgotten to put the battery back in. Luckily I'd brought my pocket camera, an Olympus TG-4, and was able to capture a very different sunset.

Being a sunset aficionado I appreciate these special captures. Your TG4 did them well!

I was amazed at how different they were! The little TG-4 is a solid pocket camera - it's a great stand by.
