It is one of my pleasures in life to watch for those guys to take over the forest floor for a very short period every year at this time. And then they just vanish seemingly without a trace for the rest of the seasons only to reappear again.

It's Earth day.

      I love these pictures! Earth is common but commonly we don't care about Her!

      You know, it really is remarkable how these little fellas, at the direction of Mother Nature, do that. It is also remarkable and simply splendid the amount of little delights that Earth has to offer us that we so often don't bother taking the time to get down low to it to appreciate it. Your shots of these simple, yet color-rich, flowers do just that: well done and well shot!
