Tobermory

I took a day trip to Tobermory. At first I was worried that it was a waste of time because the town is quite small but I found a little trailhead behind the aquarium and decided to follow it. It took me along the coastline for about a mile, dipping in and out of forests, crossing waterfalls and going up and down. It was very peaceful and thought provoking. I often forget how much nature is a necessity of mine. I've been in towns and hostels. It was so good to become one with nature again. To breathe out society and humans and noise and breathe in moss, and rain, and loneliness (the peaceful rejuvenating kind). It's the most peaceful I've felt in a while. To be completely alone, no sign of humans anywhere except the existence of the dirt track. I thought about my future and I realized that if I don't want to go home, I don't have to. I can get an online job to subsidize my food and travel costs and use volunteer websites to find hostels that will let me stay in exchange for cleaning. Alternatively, with my grandpa's inheritance, I can pay for a ticket to Costa Rica and work there as a guide for the rest of the year. I can also go back home, but I realized I have the complete freedom to do whatever I want to do. The world is my oyster. With this newfound freedom comes some anxiety as to what I'm going to pick but it's 4 months away, I may be tired of traveling by then; I may not. I guess I'll know when I get there. It's nice to know I can do what I want.

Love the patterns in #6. Played with eyes with the reflection of the sky at the bottom of the frame - I love a photo that plays tricks with my mind! Mull is a lovely lovely spot. Happy travelling :)
