A Red Cardinal in the Everglades

On my walk on Christmas Day with my son at the Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge, Parkland, FL, we saw a Red Cardinal. What the heck is Red Cardinal doing in the everglades?

My dad passed away last February. I was reading in the internet if you sight a Red Cardinal it means that your loved one in Heaven is just telling you that he/ she is always around, visiting you when you miss them the most.

Yes... I do.. I miss him dearly!

What a wonderful belief. I think, I'm a very realistic person, but such stories always make me goosebumps...
