Sywell spotting

This coming weekend should have been Flying Legends weekend and together with my man Gaz, aka The Aerial War Chariot, the plan was to be at the show together with the pre show arrivals days. Covid put paid to that but as we both had the time off and hotels booked we decided to do our own thing instead and this afternoon found us at Sywell airfield, which was meant to be the new venue for Flying Legends. The airfield has a public viewing area and parking so it is easy to stop by and see what is going on. We were lucky to catch some flight experience flights coming and going so a Spitfire and Mustang were a big feature of the day along with one or two other treats.

Plenty of snaps of my latest 'conquest', Miss Mary!!! Flew in her in May from Sywell and fabulous airyplane - 14 years, almost to the month, since Ed Shipley crossed the pond in her and was considerate enough to pass right over the house as he approached the end of his journey...+1

At least we got to see and hear liquid-cooled V12s right in front of us no thanks to Mr bloody 'Ying Tong' Tiddle-Hi-Fo and all that sail with him. Enjoyed it and amazed we pulled it off.
