De Havilland aircraft museum

This museum is at Hatfield just off the M25 and has been improved a lot in recent years with a new display hangar and exhibits. The main claim to fame of the museum is as home to the design and development of the De Havilland Mosquito, the "wooden wonder", which was a hugely successful aircraft in WWII. Almost uniquley the Mosquito prototype survives and, together with two other Mosquitos, forms the centre piece of the museum. De Havilland of course produced many other fine aircraft from inter war biplanes to early post war jets and many examples are on display. An enjoyable visit in good company.

Uniquely?  I would say amazingly that the porotype survived.  Thanks for sharing Peter.  Looks like a great visit.
