Out in the gorge again…
I grew up playing with the baby balls of the tree, see the round green buds? Yeah, we use to play with them and stuffed them in the bamboo gun and shot them out…..a bit brutal, I know. I miss this childhood memory…

I guess I have seen this fern so often in Taiwan, where I live. I just assume everybody knows what plant it is. Well, in Taiwan, we call it “snake wood” where it grows up having pattern of snake, good for planting orchids. And this photo just shows what a baby fern look like. : )
