ARGGG! My computer had a complete meltdown yesterday and it's looking like its toast/garbage/junk/kaput. It was pretty old and slow so I'm not overly distraught about it going to computer heaven but I'm more concerned about all my files and photos on the hard drive (only some of which I have backed up).

…Well, I guess that I've learned a valuable lesson in backing up my files. I'm still hopeful that they might be retrievable though (keeping my fingers crossed).

Anyway, back to today's post. I chose these pictures partly because the represent a beautiful aspect of light - the arrival of the day's light and its end, partly because I entered these two pictures in a local calendar contest (which is being judged today), but mostly because they are on my laptop and not on my fried desktop where most of my photos are.

p.s. it also makes me feel better because they are from the summer and today is it snowing!! March 26th and we're having a snowstorm - will spring ever come….
