355. Its Tuesday So I'm on the Fizzy Pop

Not the best of shots, but you only get one attempt to get it right (except that our supermarket has this stuff on special offer, so I might just be forced to get some more).

For the lighting to be bright enough to catch the cork it was too bright for the glass and the foil causing burn out. Despite a shutter speed of 1/2000 the action still wasn't frozen. I think next time I need a second light instead of a reflector and to place the lights a little further away. Hopefully if I got the shutter up to 2500 or even 3200 I might freeze the action. That may require bringing the ISO above 1000 which I'm never keen on doing. Any other suggestions would be welcome.

Good job its on offer so you can keep practising (and even when you get it right you can still keep practising!) I've put this in my favourites to see how its done.

Never mind the technical difficulties - you made a fantastic job on one attempt! :-)

Well done with the shot - I appreciate how hard it is to do.

Are you celebrating the wining of the quiz on joannelydia's post ?
....Hope you are preparing the next quiz then as the winner in Pedar's game this time - not yours as usual... :)

This shot looks very impressive to me even if it's not yet "perfect" as you may wish ...
And yes, you have to clean after your messy experiments, drink it all every time you do another try ;) !

Very, very cool, Jon!!! I can't even imagine trying something like that! I want to see the shot you took after you downed a bottle....who knows, might even be better ;)))

Have you ever been to Russia during New Year? You would have a lot of possibilities to take such photos! Even my family usually buy 5 or 7 bottles. and for wedding party 5 or 6 boxes!

Jon you are way ahead of me if you are changing things on your camera so I would never attempt to tell you how to do this. What a Beautifully done capture, I would have never thought to even make this attempt...Wow Factor...

This needs more work, Jon, clearly you must repeat the shot several times until you get it just right!
