When I went to go out into the garden this morning, this little ladybird was sitting in my sandal. I picked it up, but it didn't fly away. If you look closely, in some of the shots you can see little droplets of moisture inside its wings. I don't know the cause of it, perhaps condensation. What I do know is that on many occasions the ladybird opened its wings as if trying to dry them out. The other thing I know is that it isn't easy trying to hold a ladybird in one hand and a camera in the other. Shots with its wings stretched seemed particularly difficult.
