A Walk in the Wildlife Park

by Jarvo J October. 03, 2012 4724 views

All pictures taken yesterday at the Barling Magna Wildlife Reserve, Essex. They have some of my older photos on their website [barlingmagna-pc.org.uk].

I think this is some sort of mite. I don't know what exactly though, it looks like something from a science fiction film to me. Any help in identifying this would be appreciated.

Lesser Garden Spider, Metellina segmentata.

Some sort of Sac Spider, Cluniona sp., I think. Again, any ideas would be appreciated.

European Garden Spider, Araneus diadematus.

Dark Bush Cricket, Pholidoptera griseoaptera, ♁.

Dark Bush Cricket, closer.

Fantastic shots! I love No 3 - you have a way in showing this creature in an almost romantic mood:)

And I think this is some sort of creepy post ... but yes, with good shots and clear details.
