Old Pilgrim Trail

Today's morning walk was the Old Pilgrim Trail which extends from Marshfield, MA to Duxbury, MA. On the Marshfield side, the entrance is marked by the stone pictured here. However, finding the Duxbury entrance is nearly impossible unless you first work your way backwards and see where you exit on the Duxbury end. I know that probably sounds confusing - sorry about that.

In addition, some of the signs in the woods marking the trail are missing, which greatly cuts down on the number of folks who can find and traverse the trail. Since the trail goes right along private property (if you take a giant step off the trail, you are in someone's backyard), I believe residents here like keeping the Old Pilgrim Trail obscure.

Incidentally, these photos were taken with my new cell phone (Samsung Galaxy SII).
