What is the first thing you see when you look at this picture? I see a shepherd and sheep but I also see a pastor and his sheep. Living in a small town like Chivay in the middle of a valley you get to see a lot of shepherds and their sheep walking through the streets. But I want to talk more about a pastor and his flock. Sometimes it can be hard to follow your pastor and trust in him because he's just a man but he has the best intentions for your life and you have to remember he was put into your life as a help to you, not a hindrance. Your pastor isn't the only one by your side to help and guide you, God is also there and he is your heavenly pastor. Isaiah 43:2 says, "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze." You see God is with you to guide you and when things seem to be overwhelming. I know I have been in that place where everything around me feels like it's overwhelming and I feel like I just can't do it anymore. But I always remember what God has done for me and how he has always guided me and taught me through the difficult times in life. My pastor has done the same thing in my life, I just so happen to have the benefit of my dad being a pastor and he has pastored me through some overwhelming things in my life. Sometimes we can tend to lean on our thoughts and on what we think we know or what we think is right for our lives and I am guilty of doing that myself but God always humbles me. God humbles me with one scripture and its Proverbs 3:5-6 which says "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." and that scripture is not always easy to walk out but if you sacrifice your flesh it will be easier to do. God will always look out for you no matter the circumstances in your life and he will bring you under his wing of protection where ever you are in this world. Ezekiel 34:11-12 says, "For this is what the Sovereign Lord say: I myself will search for my sheep and look after them. As a shepherd looks after his scattered flock when he is with them, so will I look after my sheep. I will rescue them from all places where they were scattered on a day of clouds and darkness." So God will look after you and show you the right ways to go in life but you have to trust Him and His ways. He is never far away like in the photo below, you can see the shepherd is always close by watching over his sheep and God does the same thing for your life. The pastor in your life was put there by God to watch over you and protect you from the enemy's schemes. God will always be by your side I promise if you follow Him and trust in Him he will show to be powerful in your life.
Yours truly, Jewels
