This is the first part of a four part series I will be doing. I will be talking about the condition of our hearts and how each soil from Luke 8:4-7. The first soil is the seeds that fell on the path in Luke 8:5 says "A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path; it was trampled on, and the birds ate it up." Now, a lot of people will use this scripture to point the finger at someone else who doesn’t want to listen to the Word or refuses to walk in the way of the Lord. But you should point the finger at yourself and ask yourself if you don’t want to listen to the Word, correct, or walk in the way of the Lord. Sometimes seeds of revelation, correction, scriptures, and encouragements fall on our hard hearts and they are taken away by the enemy because we are not listening to what God wants for us in our lives. When you have a hard heart towards the things of God you are not able to understand the things of God. Ephesians 4:18 says exactly that "They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts" I don’t know about you but I want to have a soft heart so I can understand the things God has for me and what he is trying to show me in his Word. I don’t want to have a hardened heart and I miss the things God is trying to show me. How is your heart? Is your heart hard and turned from the things of God or is it soft and willing to hear what God has for you? I encourage you to look at your heart and see where you stand. Be honest with yourself and think and ask God to show you where you have turned away from His Word.
Yours truly, Jewels
