Retail is Detail

One can imagine the excitement of the grand opening of this business. Maybe it thrived and did well. But as times change, it is difficult to survive through new owners and customers.

Unfortunately much of our world is now disposable…including the way we treat employees.
Such is life.

I love shooting old, crumbling buildings - am always wondering about the history and what became of the people whose lives were part of them at one time. Great shots and interesting thoughts in this post!

I find this post rather depressing. I think that is what you were conveying, so it is a success. But not too many like this please Jeff.

There's a sad aspect to it, but I confess that I always enjoy photographing these kinds of places. Well done set.

beautifully photographed - but I'm not sure that 'life' is to blame - perhaps a particular economic system that puts greed above need??? Actually, maybe that is 'life' nowadays....

Interesting set! Sad that in America we don't build things to last.
