Lonely Teardrop

It is as if the lamp is shedding a tear for the residents of the house, who will never return. This was taken at my parent's home.

I believe that is exactly what it was. A stark image of the realization that the love that made that house a home has moved on, and left behind just a house. The home lives forever in the heart.Super post, Jeff!

Your caption brought this to life for me! Very sad, this tear shed for the past!

From past experience, I've sensed that houses have their own "lives," they live and breathe and "know." Or perhaps, not the house, but something within the house? A tear shed for past times...an image full of emotion....
