Mothers and Shells

What is it with Mothers and shells?
Have you ever known one not to be attracted to the quest of perfection?
They stoop and bend for hours in all kinds of weather.
They labor in rinsing and cleaning and sorting.
They study, select and create displays of their work.
They are proud of what they produce, yet know it can be better.
They still understand that each shell has flaws, and yet love it for what it is.
So they continue all of the work, again and again and again.
Mothers and shells.
No two are ever identical.
Thanks to my Mom, on this Mother's Day. On this earth she no longer roams the shore. But she has left behind the best shells she could.

Happy Mother's Day to all of those great Mom's carrying the plastic buckets!

That's lovely Jeff, I love beachcombing with my mom, and my son when I get the chance, but I only have a blue bucket... does that count?
