The Boxer

This is Louie from New York City. He is an interesting chap, traveling the U.S. taking portraits of people with a vintage box camera.

We happened upon each other in downtown Lafayette, Louisiana as I was roaming the streets with my camera.

He took my portrait and I was amazed at the extensive set-up he went through to get the shot. It made me think that I need to better concentrate when I shoot.

I hope to be able to post the result on my blog.

What a lovely old camera, it is great to see that people can still use them... can't wait to see the result!

My X used to shoot with a camera similar to this although not antique, and because the negative is so large you can get some amazing results! Is a pain in the ..... to set it up! I much prefer my digitals!!!!! Great captures!
