Buddhist carving

Inside the Royal Palace Museum compound in Luang Prabang there was a smaller building housing a number of buddhas and a kind of boat. But it was on the way out that I noticed the relief work on the doors. Unfortunately I don't know much about Buddhist imagery to understand the reason behind the carvings but as the morning sun shone through the building it was illuminated beautifully.
