2 cups sifted flour
2/3 cup butter
1/4 tsp salt
5-7 tablespoons cold water
cut butter into flour until crumbly add salt and water until dough forms. roll out into two 9inch rounds.(i discovered my butter had gone bad when i started cutting it in so i had to use store bought dough..very sad…)

3/4 Cup sugar
2 tablespoons flour
Cinnamon to taste( i like A LOT)
1/8 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp salt
mix all ingredients together gently and pour into 9 inch pie plate
cut the round intended for the top into strips and weave them across the top. or just cover top and slit holes for venting.brush crust with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
Bake at 425 degress F for 15 min then drop to 350degrees F for another 35 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
eat and enjoy!!!

fill pie plate with filling

My daughter makes a home-made, lattice-top cinnamon apple pie that looks just as good as yours! I love that "bubble of juiciness" in #5!!! Now, for a cup of coffee....

I REALLY love photography of subjects which make my mouth water. WOW!!!
BTW, for those who don't measure in "cups", a cup is 250 ml.
425 degrees is 220, 350 is 175 and a minute is.... well... a minute.

It looks so delicious..thanks for the recipe..I make the crust using shortening..will try butter..sometimes I use bought crust..not nearly as good I agree! My last home made apple pie was dry..guess I didn't put enough sugar in the apples..I didn't drop the temp, maybe that was it..I use canned apple filling sometimes, works pretty good..
