Who turned the lights out?

The purple parts are bracts and the actual flowers of the [i]Bouganvillea[/i] are the yellow bits. It reminds me of a story about two famous Dutch Commelijn merchants and patrons of botany. The genus [url=http:////en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commelina][i]Commelina[/i][/url] was named after them by Linnaeau because there the flowers have two large petals and a third smaller withered petal representative of their young brother who died very young.

It gives me the feel of looking at them under a black light. Or like it's inside a ride at an amusement park. The green has that kind of glow to it.

We used to have loads of them at our home when I was a kid...and we used to call them paper flowers...haha they are so much like paper...at least seemed to be when we were paper-brained...haha
