by Charuwan P December. 09, 2010 1772 views

This set is favorite dish in my country but the original is local food in the northeast of Thailand.

We call “Somtum” , Somtum made from papaya slice that mix with chili, garlic, lime and tomato in mortar.

Normally we eat somtum with sticky rice and fresh vegetable.

Somtum Khoapod, Somtum made from corn.
Very tasty :)

Sticky Rice.

Quite appetizing. I took a one day course in Thai cooking at the Thai Farm Cooking School near Chiang Mai. Didn't get a chance to try somtum. I certainly will do so though upon my return next Summer.
