Today some friends were headed down to a warbird airshow just south of us in Peru, IL. I was going through some photos and came across these from when I took my son to that show back in 2017.
My son loves military planes and actually just gave a presentation on the history of them. My grandfather was a pilot and my son has developed a health respect for the service his grandparents and great-grandparents gave to earn us the freedom we have today.
These are just a few of the shots from that day... many are not amazing examples of stunning photography as my focus that day was just to keep up with my son and to revel in his joy as he moved from plane to plane... and each one of these snapshots reminds me of my son and the full force of his joy that day. He was in awe of the planes and the pilots, shred his tremendous depth of knowledge about both with me, and truly demonstrated his genuine respect for the history and our heritage.
