Finally... One.

Not a perfect capture, but I've been trying to get one of this little guy on a light background for quite some time.

My wife and I have agreed on the theory that this little guy is my father-in-law reincarnated as a Northern Cardinal simply so he can tormenting me by not letting me ever catch a truly good photo of him...

I was sitting in a soaking wet chair, my hair and clothes dripping because it was still drizzling (shooting Pentax Weather Sealed Body and Lens so rain was a non-issue), I had failed to catch most of the other shots I was trying for because the clouds kept rolling in and cutting the ambient light just a bit too much to keep my shutter speed up where I needed it to photograph little tiny birds...

little tiny twitchy birds...

so I'm pretty sure he just took pity on me and FINALLY allowed me to get this ONE decent capture.

This little guy and his partner are regulars at our feeder... I am convinced he has a sixth sense that twitches every time I reach for my camera... this is the first near decent image I have captured of him... but I'm not giving up!

Thanks! He was a good man so kind of nice to think he is still around...  even if he is still razzing me...  ;)
