So this is one of my favorite photos I've ever taken - actually back in 2012. It is a Whiskey Mac rose in my rose garden. That particular type of rose has an amazing color pallet (IMHO) and is VERY fragrant - an absolutely wonderfully delicious not-too-sweet but oh-so-bountiful aroma.
It is not particularly well composed by photographic standards (though a little cropping can fix that), but it was one of the earliest photos I took with my 100 2.8 macro lens, it has some great detail (IMHO), and it is of my absolute favorite rose I've ever had in my garden.
And I may be a bit flattered by the fact that it is hanging in one of the buildings at the campus I work at at the request of the director of that particular building - four foot by four foot, on canvas, and gallery wrapped.
Every time I look at this photo I can smell that amazing Whiskey Mac aroma... which is good because that particular bush has since succumbed and I've not been able to replace it with another as of yet... but I'm not giving up! ;)
