Wild Wisconsin Photo Shoot

Did a trip to Wisconsin - Milwaukee County Zoo & Shalom Wildlife...

Had a LOT of fun with my Pentax K1 wearing a new favorite - my 150-450mm...

In an unusual occurrence, I will now stop and let the photos tell the story...

... ... ... ... ...

maybe I'll just add a few little captions...

Somehow I see so much emotion in this image that it literally moves me emotionally... is it just me?

Such an elegant series of shapes and flows - I am just drawn to this one by the organized disorganization in the elegantly non-conforming layers and asymmetrical contours... I am both visually and cognitively drawn in...

A brilliant series of shots.
I use the Pentax 150-450 mm on my K3ii (and also K3), I think it's an outstanding lens. For macro I now use the Pentax 100mm + 1.4 converter - that's mostly for the tiny stuff. I find the 150-450 mm does a brilliant job on most medium and large butterflies (depending on position) and certainly on most dragonflies. In summer I carry both: the 150-450 on the K3ii and the 100 + 1.4x on the K3.
I agree with your choice of favourite here - it certainly captures the 'lifetime' feeling.

Beautiful captures. But I can see where in #2 he is saying " God not another one of them trying to disturb my peace". 😉
