And the trip continues...after visiting Havana & Hemingway's house, we headed to Varadero, the popular sea resort and spent a night there. People we met while driving through the countryside on our way to the next stop were so friendly & grateful, as we drove a couple of hitch hikers that needed a transport from one village to another. Hitchhiking is a way of commuting for the villagers there, and not stopping to give a ride to hitch hikers would be inconsiderate. As a mini SUV we rented had a spare tire, but not the proper tire lifter, we had a help from a group of people travelling in the trailer of the truck, who happily asked the driver of the truck to stop, so they can help us.
The impression of Cuban people again was, that despite what seemed like very modest conditions they lived in, they looked greatly content and happy.
Photos in this album, represent Cayo Santa Maria, Trinidad, Cienfuegos, El Nicho National Park. We made a stop in Santa Clara, and then headed back to Havana.
