This was shot last November when I spent ten days wandering around Arizona, Utah, and Nevada. Awesome trip. Amazing Scenery, Great Images. In all honesty I'm posting this to meet this weeks theme “Flat”.
I was ready to go back this November (11/3 through 11/7) but had to cancel because something else came up. Lucky for me Delta was kind enough to allow me to cancel with no fees or charges. THANKS DELTA! Next time I need reservations, THEY will be the first place I visit!

Near Cameron Arizona. NIkon D300, Nikon 18-200VR, 1/80th second, F9.0 ISO 100 handheld, Polarizer. Shot at mid-day so the lighting is a tad flat. It's not anywhere near the grand canyon. These crevasses are all over the state it seems. Many are marked with warning signs, but many are not. I don't recommend hiking around here at night.

Definitely the coolest big hole on the planet! We did the same trip this past April. You can't beat it for photographs - and this is a dandy! Nice win in the weekly contest.

Wow. Amazing landscape.. And you'll be going there again, if you have the chance? Looking forward to seeing more.

I don't share your enthusiasm for Delta, but I am glad they came through for you this time!
Similar landscapes are familiar to me from Alberta an Saskatchewan in canada, up there they call these badlands.
