Assateague Lighthouse

Assateague Lighthouse. Shot from the channel that separates Chincoteague island, from Assateague Island. The “blur” you see in the grasses was the constant, beating, blowing, howling wind. This is one in a series I shot, towards the end of the day that wasn't blurred due to high winds. I actually did setup the tripod for these early evening shots as the sun went down behind me. I wrapped the camera strap around my wrist in case the wind blue the rig down, it wouldn't hit the ground (or the water as would have been the case in this set)
Nikon D700, Nikon 70-300VR, 1.3 seconds, F11, ISO 200, tripod, remote release
